After bumbling into Union Station, 15 minutes late, for a coffee date scheduled the day after swiping right, De'Jonnae and José found themselves immersed in banter, laughter, and cold brew too. Two sides to every story, so we'll let them tell it:

I was enjoying my hot girl summer when I came across the most beautiful woman in this stunning ankle-length gold dress. I immediately swiped right on the app, hoping she'd do the same. I guess I am the luckiest person in the universe. She did! I immediately responded once she messaged me. On Bumble, women make the first move. I picked a spot where we could get excellent coffee. We went to Blue Bottle Coffee Company in Union Station, Washington, DC. She said that she might be a little late because "God's still working on her." But if you saw the picture I'm talking about, you'd know that God created perfection—no more work needed! I joked and said that we can say we'd meet up at 11:30 (when it's really 11) just to address her lateness. I got there a little before 10:45 to make sure we had a good table. The coffee shop is not that big, and working at a coffee spot is something people do in DC. I admit it probably wasn't the most ideal date. I'm shy and didn't have a lot to say. I was a little bit intimidated. She had this bright, loud personality, and I did a lot of listening.

Our second date started off with not the best move on my part. I picked another blue-themed outing (I wish this was intentional). I suggested that we visit Blue Jacket, a Washington, DC brewery. What I didn't know was that she's a vegetarian that doesn't drink much. This conversation went much better, though, I think. 

I knew that she was special by that glimmer in her smile and that stunning presence that exudes joy. She was different, and I knew then that I really wanted to be around her all the time.

Nuestra segunda cita comenzó sin el mejor movimiento de mi parte. Elegí otra salida de temática azul (desearía que esto fuera intencional). Working out a bit of thumb arthritis from casual swiping while watching Living Single, I happened upon a brown face—which we all know is super rare for Bumble. He looked a little different in every picture—a kufiya scarf in an NYC subway; nicely suited up addressing a camera (I later learned this was staged, ha); struggle running in the rain; and transition glasses with AOC in the final photo. The banter was short but witty, and his decisiveness in setting a coffee date for the next day was refreshing. Being the honest person I am, confirmed with a small caveat that I would definitely be running late. 

I parked illegally outside of Union Station and went in. José, of course, had arrived much earlier to save seats and prepare to meet the most beautiful woman he'd ever encountered (he said so himself). José ordered coffee; I think I got tea? And we chatted for what felt like an eternity, though few words were spared from the world's most concise bachelor. The date ended, and I proceeded to enjoy my hot girl summer. After a series of texted dad jokes and misaligned schedules, we finally met up again—this time at Blue Jacket, a burger brewery joint. He hadn't yet learned that I was a vegetarian who hates beer. We chatted, and this time it felt right, it felt sincere, honest, and like I'd met my person (or at least the crab dip was good, and I'd be down for round two).

We're complete opposites—I'm loud, opinionated (about everything except weddings because SCAM, ha), and adventurous; José is more pensive, reserved, tender, and a man of few words. We clash, almost as much as we vibe. I never envisioned a deep love for myself, but it found me. I can't wait to hang out FOREVER with my forever best friend. 

(ESPAÑOL) Al ejercitarme un poco en la artritis del pulgar por deslizar casualmente mientras veía Living Single, me encontré con una cara morena (que todos sabemos que es muy rara en Bumble). Se veía un poco diferente en cada imagen: una bufanda kufiya en un metro de Nueva York; muy bien vestido para dirigirse a una cámara (más tarde supe que esto estaba montado, ja); lucha corriendo bajo la lluvia; y gafas de transición con una poltica famosa en la foto final. Charlamos, y esta vez se sintió bien, se sintió sincero, honesto y como si hubiera conocido a mi persona (o al menos el crema de cangrejo era bueno, y estaría dispuesta para la segunda ronda).

Somos completamente opuestos: soy ruidoso, obstinado (sobre todo, excepto las bodas porque es un scam, ja) y aventurero; José es más pensativo, reservado, tierno y un hombre de pocas palabras. Chocamos, casi tanto como caemos bien. Nunca imaginé un amor profundo por mí mismo, pero me encontró. No puedo esperar para pasar el rato PARA SIEMPRE con mi mejor amigo.

THE AIRPORTS 

• El Catey (AZS) is located just 25 minutes from the center of Las Terrenas. Most flights arrive from Canada. El Catey (AZS) se encuentra a solo 25 minutos del centro de Las Terrenas. La mayoría de los vuelos llegan desde Canadá.

• Las Américas International Airport (Santo Domingo) (SDQ) is about 2 hours by car, taxi, or bus (the bus will take longer because of frequent stops). Las Terrenas is a resort town on the Samaná Peninsula, in the northeastern part of the Dominican Republic. It's known for central Las Terrenas Beach. Other beaches include Bonita, Cosón and Las Ballenas. Cays off the coast feature underwater caverns like Dudu cave. Bars and restaurants, many with open-air seating, line the strip of Pueblo de los Pescadores near the water. In addition to the many activities available through the resort, Las Terrenas has many things to offer! • Do you have a hotel block for guests? We do not have a wedding black for guests. You do not need a code to book your room. • What should I do if I have to cancel last minute? If you have to cancel last minute please advise the hotel and the bride and groom immediately. Cancellations are permitted up to 30 days before the wedding, after 30 days there fees will be assessed. • Do I need to get vaccinated to attend your wedding? We cannot force anyone to get vaccinated. However, we strongly urge you and your loved ones to get vaccinated as soon as possible. Both José and De’Jonnae are vaccinated and do not plan to require masks since both the ceremony and reception are outside. If you are not vaccinated, you may be at risk for contracting COVID-19. Please consider getting vaccinated before any travel abroad or to the Woss Wedding. ¿Necesito vacunarme para asistir a tu boda? No podemos obligar a nadie a vacunarse. Sin embargo, le recomendamos encarecidamente que usted y sus seres queridos se vacunen lo antes posible. • Will I have to quarantine when I get back? Depending on country guidelines you may be required to quarantine upon return to your home country. • I can’t make the wedding. Is live streaming available? It’s unfortunate that you will not be able to attend the Woss Wedding—we know that you will be there with us in spirit. We do plan to livestream the wedding using Zoom or Google Hangout. The Bride and Groom will share livestream details closer to the day of the wedding.
